Housing Assistance
A lack of affordable and accessible housing is a common problem across the country. This makes it challenging for those with disabilities to find a place to live.

We provide assistance with housing issues, including help locating accessible housing. Housing assistance services include referrals to accessible housing and a housing peer support group.

We also support enforcement of the Federal Fair Housing Act by advocating for increased access to affordable, accessible and integrated housing.

Employment Assistance
A vital part of an independent lifestyle is finding the right job to support it. At FITE CIL, we work with individuals to help guide them through the process of finding accessible employment.

Employment assistance includes coaching on topics such as:

• Career options
• Conducting a job search
• Writing an impressive resume and cover letter
• When to ask an employer for accommodation
• Handling attitudinal and physical barriers to employment
